According to Lloyd Gladstone and Jesse Pliner, the founders of Prong, Apple consumers are eagerly anticipating the annual release of iOS operating system updates and new iPhones. Apple previewed the latest iOS update, version 9, at the 2015 Worldwide Developers Conference.

In the past, many iPhone users avoided the annual upgrade, thinking it would create functionality and stability issues – especially on older phones. However, reports indicate that iOS 9 is likely to run smoother and more efficiently than any previously released iOS version.

Last year's iOS update was met with mixed reviews. Apple had many consumers complaining that the new software drained battery and caused Wi-Fi issues. However, iOS 9 has some interesting attributes that should resolve these complaints. It will operate faster and take up less space. iOS 8 required a staggering 2 GBs to download, but Apple is making its new version more memory friendly. For those with older devices, this improvement will ensure fewer stability, connectivity and functionality issues.

Consumers can also expect improved notifications. The upgraded operating system will work seamlessly with Passbook, Calendar and Contacts to provide users with better update information about everyday activities and interests. Furthermore, there will be a new font and keyboard.

Apple has been making innovative strides in enhanced security features. The company's goal has long been to make its devices the most secure offerings on the market. Consumers can expect more evolved security systems and less worry about compromising sensitive information.

The rate of adoption for iOS 8 was significantly slower than any previously released iOS upgrade, possibly because of fear about slow-running phones and functionality problems. However, as many as 82 percent of Apple devices now have iOS 8 – an improvement from iOS 7, which only reached 78 percent of devices.

Prong is a designer and manufacturer of electronic device accessories that simplify your life. Founded in 2012 by two guys who were sick of carrying around their phone chargers, Jesse Pliner and Lloyd Gladstone developed a better way for people to use and charge cellphones.

Prong's flagship product, PocketPlug, became the world's first mobile phone case that plugs right into the wall, eliminating the need for traditional chargers. After much praise by publications like the New York Times, Washington Post, CNET, Gizmodo and Engadget, Prong continues to create innovative electronic accessories.
