Prong Investigates Rumored New Features for the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus

NEW YORK, June 18, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Prong is the developer of the PWR Case, a cutting-edge iPhone charger case with a detachable battery pack and integrated charging prongs. Prong's cordless design eliminated the need for conventional iPhone chargers and allowed the company to develop an international reputation for innovation and creative genius.

According to Prong, the anticipation among iPhone fans is reaching fever pitch. Rumors about the iPhone 6S are crowding online forums and Facebook newsfeeds, but the newest model is only set to begin mass production in mid-August. Apple never discloses information about its new gadgets before their release dates, though this doesn't keep techies from speculating.

As expected, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus will come with several new features. Apple has been talking about Force Touch for some time, which is already part of the 13-inch MacBook Pro and the Apple Watch. Force Touch adds more methods of input to long press, swipe commands and gesture, and it will likely come with the new iPhone. Users may also receive additional support for handwritten signatures, a change that has been in demand for quite some time.

The iPhone 6S will include iOS 9, Apple's newest operating system. This upgrade polishes iOS 8, with extra focus on security, stability and speed improvements.

Furthermore, the next iPhone will have 2 GB of RAM, which will enable easy toggling between time-lapse video recording, slow motion, full speed, burst photography, Force Touch and advanced game modes. The increased RAM will make it easier to provide an option for true multitasking with split windows.

Unfortunately, hopes for a 4-inch screen are unlikely. The iPhone 6S series will offer the same resolution as the iPhone 6 in 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes, but users can look forward to improvements to Touch ID as Apple tries to get more consumers to use Apple Pay.

The recently introduced rose gold-colored Apple Watch is so popular that Apple will likely offer the iPhone 6S in rose gold, as well, to match it. The last three model releases did not include much improvement to the iPhone camera, but the new phone's camera will likely contain at least 12 megapixels, which may even surpass other smartphones, such as the LG G4 and Galaxy S6.

The iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus will enjoy improvements in overall performance, especially as they will likely contain the new A9 chipset. The combination of increased RAM and the A9 chipset will make the latest iPhone the best multitasker yet.
